What I'm most hyped about when waking up is realizing that it's Sunday. Unfortunately it only happens once a week. My second favorite part is breakfast, the meal that keeps me energetic for the rest of the day. I know it's probably easier to skip this meal because of the lack of time, or to avoid spending money on the food related to it.
I compare skipping breakfast to starting your day with a phone battery at 50%, you will try to save the most of it by letting go moments where you would've used your phone. It's the same with your mind and body, you wake up in the morning with 50% of energy that you gain while sleeping, the other half is breakfast. If you don't eat breakfast, your mind will creates little shutdowns through your day to save the small amount of energy you have left. It is also very difficult to make up for the loss of one meal out of the three you should eat during your day.
Below, there's a few recipes and ideas of breakfast to start your day on the right foot.
You can just assemble your favorite frozen fruits, little bit of water, milk, or yogurt and blend it all together.
PS: Bananas make the smoothie a lot smoother and gives you a lot of energy. Moreover, the yogurt will keep you full, longer, so you won't be tempted to snack all morning.
You whisk two eggs in a bowl, pour it on a pan like a crepe and add all the veggies you like. If you are feeling a little fancy, add cheese, just not too much or it won't be healthy anymore. Eggs are also one of the less expensive protein. Be mindful that eating eggs everyday is not a good thing. Buying a pack of six eggs is actually a pretty good deal and contain lots of energy .
